There are dozens of times in the bible where the fig is mentioned. Today I finally got to experience a California black mission fig. I've wanted to try a fig for years. It was awesome to get to share in the same fruit that is mentioned so many times in Your word.

It seems kind of simple and strange but that moment with You as I ate my first fig, it made me think about what You must have experienced the first time You took on flesh and ate Your first fig. It's crazy to think the God of the universe was human and drank the same water as me and ate the same fruit as me. I wonder how much You enjoyed Your time in Your creation. I wonder how much You enjoyed the smells of flowers, the tastes of fruit, the sounds of birds. I can not wait to be with You Jesus.
